Signs That Your Computer is Being Hacked

There are several signs which suggest that your computer is being hacked. In today’s unsafe world, it is important that we take precautionary measures in order to combat these threats which may ruin the way we live our lives.

The first sign that your computer is being hacked is that the settings are changed. If you notice that the desktop wallpaper has changed to something else without you doing anything, then somebody might have had access to your computer either physically or remotely.

On your system unit or commonly referred to as the CPU, you will see LED lights blinking which indicate that your computer is processing information. But if the computer is idle, the LED light for processes is not blinking. Now if in case that you are not doing anything with your computer or it is idle but the light seems to be blinking then there is something going on inside the computer which suggests that there is an unauthorized access.

Now to prevent these hackers from taking over your computer, there are several things that you should do and one of which is installing a tough firewall. Your operating system may already have a firewall but that is not enough to keep hackers away. The role of the firewall is to grant or deny remote access to the computer. If in case that the request is from an unknown sender, the request will be denied.

Also, it is important that you do not give out your username, password, as well as IP address to anyone. Using this information, hackers can gain access not only to your account but also to your computer. So if you do not want to be a victim of such cybercrime, you should be more careful in dealing with strangers online especially when purchasing stuff.
